Free listingList your shelter's or association's animals for adoption, free
A free PawsPet account and a record for each animal. You can publish straight away as a private individual; to publish in your organisation's name you need a business profile, created the same way businesses do. Listings are free, requests arrive without names or contact details, and both sides confirm the handover. To publish, an animal needs a 15-digit microchip and must be at least 60 days old.

As a private individual or in your organisation's name
Without a business profile the listing appears as «Private». With a business profile, created with «Become a merchant» in PawsPet Business or on your computer like any business, you choose «Publishing as» and your organisation's name appears.

The path in six stages
You can start right away as a private individual: the listing is free and appears as «Private»; the organisation's name comes with the business profile.
A PawsPet account, on your phone or your computer
It is free and it is the same for PawsPet, PawsPet Business and the web version. Today one account is the organisation: other people work as collaborators on individual animals.
One record per animal, in PawsPet
One at a time, from the «Pets» tab: with a photo the AI suggests species and breed. PawsPet Business does not create animals.
Volunteers and foster carers as collaborators
They are invited record by record, with a PawsPet account: they see and edit only what you decide, documents too if you want. They do not publish and do not delete.
The organisation's profile, if you publish in its name
It is the same procedure businesses use («Become a merchant», on your computer or in PawsPet Business): type of entity, name, billing, contacts, premises and opening hours. You only need it to publish in the organisation's name; payment verification is only needed to ask for a contribution. If you are unsure how to fill it in, ask the AI assistant.
Offer for adoption with «Publishing as»
A 15-digit microchip, at least 60 days of age, the health declaration and the truthfulness check; one active listing per animal.
Requests, chat and a hand-over confirmed by both
Requests arrive without names or contact details; you accept one and the two of you confirm the hand-over. Before the hand-over, remove volunteers and foster carers from «Collaborators».
Anonymous requests, chat, one acceptance
Whoever writes shows no name or contact details, and on the website can add a questionnaire. You open the chat, accept one request, and the others still open are closed.
- The name, email and phone number of whoever writes are not shown: you introduce yourselves in the chat, if you want.
- On the website they can add a questionnaire: home, garden, other pets, children, hours alone, experience, vet costs and motivation.
- Meetings and the decision stay with you: PawsPet does not assess the people who ask for an animal.
Label, verification and contribution: three things
Without a dossier, an organisation's listing appears as «Association»; with an approved dossier, as «Shelter». An optional contribution needs a verified profile and active payments.

The AI helps with some records
With a photo the AI suggests species and breed, and it can read a vet's report. AI credits belong to the organisation's account and are enough for a few dozen requests a month; volunteers who collaborate do not use the Copilot on the shelter's records. The rest is done by hand, from the computer too.

Create the records in PawsPet
In the PawsPet app or on your computer at app.pawspet.it: «Pets» tab » «+», one record per animal. With a photo the AI suggests species and breed. PawsPet Business does not create animals.
Your organisation's profile, if you publish in its name
It is the «Become a merchant» procedure that businesses use, in PawsPet Business or on your computer: type of entity, name, billing, contacts, premises, opening hours and visibility. You only need it to publish in the organisation's name, not for private listings.
Offer for adoption
From the record: ⋮ » «Offer for adoption», choose «Publishing as», fill in the health declaration, tick the truthfulness check and tap «Publish». The listing appears on pawspet.it.
Questions from shelters and associations
- Create a record for each dog in the PawsPet app or at app.pawspet.it, then from the ⋮ menu tap «Offer for adoption». To do it in the shelter's name you need a business profile: it is the «Become a merchant» procedure that businesses use, in PawsPet Business or on your computer.
- No for a free listing as a private individual. Yes to publish in your organisation's name with «Publishing as»: you create the profile with «Become a merchant», in 7 steps on your computer, like a business. To ask for an optional contribution you also need a verified profile and active payments.
- Adoption listings are free and the app is free, with no subscription. An optional contribution can only be requested with a profile verified by the PawsPet team and active payments.
- No: they are collaborators on a single animal and see or edit only what you decide, documents included if you wish. Publishing and deleting stay with whoever owns the record.
- No: to publish, an animal needs a 15-digit microchip and must be at least 60 days old. In the meantime you keep its record anyway, with health, weight and activities.
