From the record to the listing
Start from the pet's record, choose your business with «Publishing as» and fill in the health declaration. You need a 15-digit microchip and an age of at least 60 days.

A 15-digit microchip
It comes from the pet's record, with the date of birth, when you publish; after that it cannot be changed.
At least 60 days old
The age is worked out from the date of birth in the record, and PawsPet checks it when you publish.
The health declaration
Rabies vaccine, deworming, vet certificate, fitness for transfer. Before publishing you confirm that the details are true.
Requests without personal data, and a chat
The listing shows only the last 4 digits of the microchip. A private owner shows an area of about one kilometre, a business its premises. Requests arrive without names or visible contact details, and you talk in the chat.
- Whoever writes to you stays anonymous: PawsPet does not show you their name, email or phone, and you introduce yourselves in the chat only if you want to.
- Each request comes with its message and, if filled in, a questionnaire: home, garden, other pets, hours alone, experience.
- Requests for all your listings are gathered in «Requests received», with the «To decide» filter.
The change of ownership
Set the handover, follow the checklist and both confirm: the health history follows the pet to its new home.
The checklist
Once you accept a request, propose a date for the hand-over. When you meet, each of you ticks «Before you confirm» on your own phone: among the items, microchip, booklet and papers, health declaration.
The double confirmation
With the checklist complete, each of you taps «Confirm the hand-over». A confirmation cannot be undone: you only wait for the other party's.
The history changes hands
At the second confirmation the animal is registered to its new owner with its whole health history. You can still see its health data, read-only, for 90 days.
Coming soon: sales for verified breeders
Only authorised breeders with «Breeder verification» approved by the team will be able to sell. Payment will go through PawsPet and be held until after the hand-over.
Who will be able to sell
Authorised breeders with an approved «Breeder verification». Shelters and associations can send the same dossier, but sales stay with breeders.
The verification
A dossier in PawsPet Business with the type of business, the registration number, the local health authority (ASL) code and the documents. A PawsPet reviewer checks it.
The payment
It will go through PawsPet and be held until after the hand-over confirmed by both of you.
How you publish an adoption listing
Open the listing from the record
In PawsPet Business go to «My animal listings» and tap «New listing», or start from the pet's record. Adoption is free.
Publish as your business
With «Publishing as» you choose your business, fill in the health declaration and publish: the listing appears among the adoptions on pawspet.it and in the app.
Manage the requests
Requests for all your listings arrive in «Requests received»: open the chat, accept the right one and set up the change of ownership.
Frequently asked questions about animal listings
- No: adoption listings are free, for private owners and for businesses such as shelters, rescues and associations. You publish them from the pet's record.
